I still feel gutted over Pete's passing but that hypnotic voice and his goofy, larger-than-life personality will live on in the music

The family and the band have released very little detail, only a few brief statements. Apparently he'd been quite ill for a few weeks.
He'd been sober and completely clean for over 8 months, so it's such a shame. Perhaps after all those years of excess the body goes into shock when a person cleans up. Still such a shame. I never got to see them live or to meet Pete, but I was half in love with the man from all his interview clips and the After Dark DVD.

When I feel down about things like this, I go my 'happy scent':
It makes me feel calm, serene and at peace. It puts me into a very specific time and place - Durham Cathedral in the north of England.
The music that goes hand-in-hand with lily of the valley scent is Pachelbel's Canon in D, my absolute favourite piece of music.
This is perhaps my favourite version and it does for me the exact same as the scent - so the combo is very, very powerful for me:
